Project

I finally got around to making something for Joanna.   I wish I had taken advantage of the time before she was born to make some things for her, but I was just too lazy last summer.  I blame the heat!  Anyway, I've made so many burp cloths and bibs for friend's babies but hadn't made a single thing for my own.  Then, when browsing Pinterest, I came across this and thought it was so cute!  The instructions were simple, and even though I've never attempted anything that's not a burp cloth, bib, or pillow, I thought I'd be able to do this.  She likes it and so do I!

It's not perfect, but it's good enough for a little one who's going to cover it in drool!  I found the fabric at Joanns and thought it was so pretty.  I'm planning on making a little dress and taggy blanket out of this fabric soon hopefully.  I'll be sure to post how that goes!

4 Months!

Little Joanna is 4 months old now!  She had her 4 month check-up last Friday and we left with a good report.  She is now 13lb 15oz and 25 inches.    She is starting to interact so much more these days, which has been so much fun.  I feel so blessed to be at home Wednesday through Friday with her.  Over the past few week I've noticed that she is reaching more purposefully and accurately for toys.  Of course, they all go straight to her mouth.  She has started to drool more, and when I checked last week, I could feel and see the tip of a little incisor.  This morning I noticed another one!  Thankfully, I haven't noticed it with her disposition...she's still such a happy girl.  She is now trying her best to roll from her back to her stomach, but so far she's been unsuccessful.  Check her out!

Hey GG.  Mama says she will take my 4 month picture tomorrow and will write a little bit about what I'm doing now and how I've changed since I turned 4 months.  She says she's sorry that it's been almost two weeks since she's posted.  I love you.  Give Pappy a hug for me!
